About

I've been building businesses since 2008.

And I've made enough mistakes along the way to know that business is rarely as simple as people selling business advice make it sound.

Hamish Cramer

The story

From the gym floor to the boardroom.

Hamish began his career in corporate telecommunications before moving into fitness and becoming a personal trainer.

In 2008 he started working for himself and eventually built Alter Ego, his own fitness studio. That period became his real education in entrepreneurship. He learned how to attract clients, manage staff, market a business, understand operations and deal with the constant uncertainty that comes with being responsible for the whole thing.

He also made a lot of mistakes.

Over time, Hamish and Erika Cramer became deeply involved in business mentoring, personal development and relationship work. When Erika launched The Queen of Confidence, Hamish gradually became more involved behind the scenes as the business grew. Eventually he sold his gym and joined The Queen of Confidence full-time.

Today he works across strategy, marketing, operations, systems and growth while also coaching entrepreneurs privately and inside The Queen's Table.

Learning the hard way

I didn't learn business by getting everything right.

Some lessons came from good decisions. Plenty came from expensive ones.

Hamish has experienced bad hires, poor accountants, weak systems, marketing that did not work, not understanding the numbers well enough and continuing with things longer than he should have.

Those experiences have shaped the way he coaches.

He is less interested in pretending there is one perfect way to build a business and more interested in helping people look clearly at the business in front of them, understand what is actually working and make better decisions from there.

The Queen of Confidence

Behind the business.

That ability to turn complexity into clear next steps has become one of the defining parts of his coaching.

For more than a decade, Hamish has helped build and operate The Queen of Confidence alongside Erika Cramer.

His work has spanned strategy, systems, operations, technology, marketing, paid advertising and commercial decision-making.

Today, he also co-coaches entrepreneurs inside The Queen's Table, where he often works with highly creative, visionary founders who have no shortage of ambition or ideas but need help simplifying the path forward.

Business and personal development

The business and the person are connected.

Hamish's approach has been shaped by almost two decades in business, a Commerce degree from Monash University, years of personal development work and extensive spiritual study.

He has studied Andean shamanic traditions through the Inca Medicine School in Peru and trained in breathwork through Soma Breath.

Those experiences do not mean every coaching session becomes spiritual. They have simply influenced how Hamish listens, observes behaviour and works with what sits beneath the obvious problem.

He believes that business can be both commercially successful and deeply meaningful, and that personal growth often becomes necessary when the business reaches a new stage.

Away from the work

Husband, father of two, entrepreneur.

Hamish is a lifelong student of business and personal development. Outside coaching, his interests span fitness, spirituality, technology and building businesses that genuinely improve people's lives.
